Cell surface proteins are proteins embedded in or spanning the layer of cell membranes. These proteins are integral to the way in which a cell interacts with the environment around it, including other cells.
Each Molecular Pixelation assays has been thoroughly evaluated and optimized to fit into a broad immunological multiplex panel.
Protein selection
The proteins that make up the structure of the panel have been selected based on feedback from thought leaders as well as in-depth literature evaluation.
One important part of the panel consists of the backbone proteins to distinguish between different immunological cell types.
A broad spectrum of proteins were also included with different abundance on the cell surface have been chosen. The highly abundant proteins serve as a connectivity baseline in order to ensure capturing also proteins with lower expression.
Well-known protein markers as well as more exploratory proteins have been included.
In addition, subsets of scientifically interesting targets not yet fully understood have also been included in the panel.
