Ramon brings three decades of experience building data, AI, and technology businesses in life sciences and healthcare. He founded Ingenuity Systems, which became the industry leader in AI-driven genome interpretation and was acquired by QIAGEN. At QIAGEN, Ramon served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Data Strategy, founding QIAGEN Digital Insights, the company’s AI and data science business unit. Under his leadership, its precision medicine AI platform guided the care of over one million patients and established informatics as a strategic pillar of the business.Today, Ramon advises life science and healthcare organizations across the US, Europe, and APAC through Apertana. He serves on the board of Supreme Group, as Senior Advisor to ARPA-H and Expert-in-Residence at Digitalis Commons, and on a number of startup, venture, and private equity advisory boards. At Pixelgen, he supports the leadership team in building the software and data capabilities that translate the company’s technical differentiation into growth and long-term competitive advantage.Ramon holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Data Sciences and degrees in Computer Science and Literature from Stanford University.
